Tube Protectors

The Slime tube protector is a lightweight, durable strip of extruded polyurethane that fits between the tyre and tube providing protection from thorns nails and glass.

Now 27% stronger and 17% lighter than competing brands.

Sold as a pair and available in 20" x 1.50-2.125, 24" x 1.50-2.125, 26" x 1.50-2.125 and 700c x 28-25.

Usage instructions:

1. Remove wheel from bicycle and deflate tube.
2. Remove tyre from rim using tyre lever.
3. Remove inner tube.
4. Lay tyre on ground and insert slime liner against tyre. Overlap the ends of the liner. Do not trim liner.
5. Reinsert inner tube and slightly inflate. Liner must be between tyre and tube.
6. Replace tyre on while keeping slime liner centred.
7. Re-inflate tyre to recommended air pressure. Do not over-inflate.

Note: Liners are coated with a mineral oil to prevent the material from sticking to itself. If using tape or other adhesive material to hold liner ends in place, first clean the area with rubbing alcohol to remove surface oil.
