The bowden cable is a flexible cable used to transmit mechanical force or energy by the movement of an inner cable relative to a hollow outer cable housing. The cable housing is generally of composite nylon construction, consisting of a spiral steel wire, often coated with plastic, and with a plastic outer sheath. A dry lubricant can also be applied to assist the cable.
These bowden cable housings come in a range of thicknesses, but all in a 20m roll.
